Tokyo, May 31, 2007(Thu) - Tokyu Hotels Co., Ltd., a leading hotel chain who operates 52 hotels and resorts in Japan, has launched its new website in Chinese, both Traditional Chinese and Simplified Chinese, and Korean on May 14, 2007.
Tokyu Hotels website now covers five languages including the existing Japanese and English version.

This is an action to make the most of the trend of increasing Asian travelers followed by gVisit Japan Campaignh by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, aiming 10,000,000 foreign travelers by 2010.
We also expect that the increase of the travelers from abroad will cover the expected reduced demands of the Japanese domestic business travel market, due to the retirement of the Baby boomer generation, called gDankai no Sedaih in Japanese.

Based on the report by Japan National Tourist Organization (JNTO), the number of Japan-bound tourists in 2006 hits a record high of 7,334,000, exceeding 7,000,000 for the first time.
Among which, 68.8% of the travelers are from Asian region, such as Korea, Taiwan, China and Hong Kong, and especially the increase rate of Korea and China exceeded 20%, 21.2% and 24.3% respectively.
The factors of this trend from these neighboring countries are considered to be, the economic growth of the Asian countries, depression of the Japanese Yen, increase of the number of international flights, 90 days visa exemption for Koreans, expansion of the sightseeing tour group visa issuance to the entire mainland China, and the increase of tours to Japan by charter flights.
