Nagatacho 2-chome Project to be commenced on March 11th, 2008
A complex featuring THE CAPITOL HOTEL TOKYU,
flagship hotel of Tokyu Hotels, to be opened in autumn 2010

The commencement of Nagatacho 2-chome Project, the construction of the mixed-used building (29 stories above ground and 4 underground stories), including a luxury hotel, office floors and more on the site of the former "CAPITOL TOKYU HOTEL"(Nagatacho 2-chome, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, Closed on November 31st, 2006) , has been announced by Tokyu Corporation (Head office: Shibuya, Tokyo, President: Toshiaki Koshimura) and Tokyu Hotels (Head office: Shibuya, Tokyo, President: Ichigo Umehara). The completion of the building is scheduled for autumn of 2010.
One of the main characteristics of the new building is a prime location of the direct-connected to both Kokkai-gijidomae Station and Tameike-sanno Station where the four subway lines run through. A green design with the garden and promenade leading you to the adjacent Hie Shrine, which has lush greenery yet in the heart of Tokyo also counts a significant element of the building.
Mr. Kengo Kuma; a leading architect of Japan is appointed as a design architect, and Mr. Shunsaku Miyagi as a landscape architect for this project to seek the essence of "WA"(Japanese tradition) in addition to the modern design.
Our goal is to create a multi-purpose building with a full of hospitality based on the history, tradition and the spirit we have cultivated since the "Hoshigaoka Saryo", a well-known high-class Japanese-style restaurant, through "Tokyo Hilton" and "CAPITOL TOKYU HOTEL".
The upper part of the building will be used for Tokyu Hotels flagship luxury hotel, "THE CAPITOL HOTEL TOKYU". The new hotel will have about 250 rooms. We will provide a homelike space for relaxation by making the all rooms more than about 45 square meters. A wide variety of restaurants and bars, banquet rooms, spa and fitness spaces will be also equipped. (As for the details of "THE CAPITOL HOTEL TOKYU", please refer to the attached sheet #2.)
The office floors, located on the middle of the building, will have a comfortable and functional business environment as well as a view of rich nature lying ahead and a sophisticated security system. The building will also include rental housing floors which provide luxury hotel style services and hospitality. In this manner, a luxury hotel with fine hospitality and other accommodations of the building will generate a synergistic effect, and welcome guests with high quality and sophisticated services.
This project is a part of Tokyo Metropolitan Government city planning project,"Nagatacho 2-chome district project", which has been advancing development of the area by preserving the natural environment of the Hie Shrine yet in the center of an international city, Tokyo. We will aim to build an eco-friendly building in harmony with the surrounding environment. A completion of the new building will conclude the district's redevelopment project after 17 years since the announcement of the project.
Beside this project, Tokyu Group is advancing large development projects in Shibuya, Futakotamagawa, Tama Plaza and more. We will put our all in these projects and make more leaps forward.
