About The Capitol Suite
In keeping with the spirit of the brand concept, "fueki ryuko,” the newly redesigned spaces combine the functionality of Japanese modern design alongside the harmonious beauty of Japan’s traditional architecture. In The Capitol Suite, guests will find new lowered sofas – reflecting the traditional style of sitting on the floor – reclining chairs designed by Japanese artisans, display shelves and Japanese-made speakers. Each of the new furnishings has been carefully considered to compliment the large space, which also has a bar counter and island kitchen for guests who wish to welcome private chefs and bartenders.

The Sanno Suite and three Garden Suites, which overlook the gardens and groves of next door Hie Shrine, have seen an overhaul in their interiors, with updated flooring, wall coverings and fixings. The ‘shoji’ paper doors of these suites slide back to let the greenery of the gardens flow into the room, creating an oasis of nature and calm right in the city center.
