【Updated 29th June】COVID-19 Infection Prevention Measures

Thank you for your patronage to The Capitol Hotel Tokyu. The Capitol Hotel Tokyu considers the health and safety of our guests and staff to be our highest priority and has formulated the following measures and guidelines. We will implement these measures along with the partial resumption of business in the hotel on the 1st of June. We will continue to protect the health and safety of our customers and uphold our hotel’s policy. ( Updated 29th June)

Public Areas

  • High-performance thermal camera temperature measurement for all visitors.
    (We ask that guests with a temperature over 37.5˚C kindly refrain from using our facilities)

  • Hand Sanitizers will be placed at the hotel entrances, elevator halls, restrooms and other locations throughout the hotel.

  • Thorough and regular disinfection and cleaning of areas frequently used by guests in the hotel.

  • Limited number of people allowed in elevators at a time.

  • Social Distancing.

Reservations

Our first priority is the health and safety of our guests and in order to give our guests peace of mind we have put the following precautionary measures in place. In addition to this please allow us to ask if you would like a temporarily restricted service or complete restriction of staff entering your room during your stay in order to prevent the spread of infection through contact and projection of droplets.

Arrival and Departure

  • Request to fill in a health check sheet at the reception.

  • Transparent protective screens installed at each reception desk, the bell desk and concierge desks.

  • Items will be disinfected for customer’s utilization such as pens.

  • Use of cash tray when making payments.

  • Hand sanitation of staff handling luggage according to the customer’s preference.

During your Stay

  • Sanitation of all equipment in guest rooms such as remote controls.

  • Temporary suspension of use of minibar.
    *If you would like to have any of the drinks or snacks, please contact Housekeeping.

  • In-room dining services will be adjusted according to customers wishes to allow our staff’s entry into the room. Food will be provided by staff wearing surgical masks and gloves.

  • If you do not wish to receive our turn down service (preparations of the guest room bed ), which is carried out in all guest rooms, please let us know when you check-in.

After Departure

  • The room will be fumigated with ozone, thoroughly disinfected and cleaned and lastly an air purifying agent containing probiotics (beneficial bacteria) will be sprayed in the room.

  • All equipment in the room will either be thoroughly disinfected or replaced.

  • Staff cleaning the room will wear surgical masks and gloves, as well as thoroughly wash and disinfect their hands before and after cleaning.

RESTAURANTS

To prevent the spread of infection through contact and projection of droplets we will take the following measures to ensure the health and safety of our customers.

  • We will decrease the number of seating available in each restaurant and limit the number of people permitted to enter private rooms to enable social distancing.

  • Hand sanitizer placed at the entrance of each restaurant.

  • Chairs, tables, menu covers and seasoning on tables will be sanitized after each use.

  • Transparent protective screens installed at cashier desk.

  • Use of cash tray when making payments.

  • Breakfast buffet is temporarily unavailable and a set breakfast menu or a la carte will be available instead.

  • Disinfectant has been installed in each restroom and the restaurants will also be disinfected regularly.

  • Disinfectant will be sprayed regularly in the restaurants.

Banquet Rooms

To prevent the spread of infection through contact and projection of droplets we will take the following measures to ensure the health and safety of our customers.

  • We request that all guests wear masks when using the banquet halls.

  • Hand sanitation and temperature measurement on the 1st floor lobby.

  • Distanced seating in the banquet halls.

  • Regular disinfection of equipment such as tables and microphones.

  • We will facilitate virtual meetings upon request.

Safety Measures for Staff

  • Daily temperature and health check sheet.

  • Use of surgical masks and thorough hand sanitation.

  • Thorough disinfection at employee entrance.

  • Thoroughly sterilize staff elevators and door knobs etc.

  • Prohibit staff coming to work in the case of a temperature above 37.5˚C.

  • Spaces available for employees to rest in locker room, cafeteria etc.

Cooperation Request

  • We kindly request all guests to allow measurement of their temperature with our high-performance thermal camera. (We kindly request anyone with a temperature above 37.5˚C to refrain from using our services.)

  • Please refrain from entering the hotel if you have a fever or are in poor physical condition.

  • We kindly ask for your cooperation in disinfecting your hands when visiting the hotel, entering our restaurants and our banquet halls.

  • For guests staying at the hotel please allow us to ask whether or not you would like our staff to enter your room before your stay or to provide a temporarily restricted service.

  • When staying at our hotel we kindly request all guests to fill in a health check sheet at the reception.

  • Cash trays will be used for both cash and credit cards when making payments.

  • We kindly ask for your cooperation to implement social distancing within the hotel.
