“Charity Gala Dinner ”
With the blessing of His Majesty the King Carl XVI Gustaf of the Kingdom of Sweden, His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of MONACO, and in close collaboration with the world’s most exclusive gastronomic society Club des Chefs des Chefs*1, the Chef of His Highness the Prince Albert II of Monaco: Mr. Christian GARCIA and the Chef of His Majesty the King of Sweden: Mr. Magnus Raihle REHBÄCK will be visiting Japan in October for an honorable cause: to show continuous support for the food producers and industry of Tohoku and Kumamoto who still face a long way until the true recovery from the unprecedented disasters.
The two Chefs whose job is to serve Kings, Queens, Presidents and other Head of States have unmatched expertise in selecting exceptional and healthy ingredients from around the world.
This time, they will collaborate with Japanese grand chef Nobuhiko Fukuda, Executive Chef of Cerulean Tower Tokyu Hotel and President of Association des Disciples d'Escoffier du Japon, to create a special menu using top quality ingredients from Tohoku and Kumamoto.
The goal of this project is to encourage hardworking farmers and fishermen of the disaster struck areas, to publicize their high quality vegetables, fish, meat and fruits and create the finest cuisine. The event will support food producers by featuring Tohoku and Kumamoto’s regional ingredients in the menu, and part of the proceeds will be donated to the children of Tohoku and Kumamoto through Approved Specified NPO Katariba*2 ’s "Collabo-schools" and also to Kesennuma City in Miyagi Prefecture which Cerulean has worked with over the past 8 years by means of various reconstruction programs including personnel exchange.

The Club des Chefs des Chefs, which is seen as the world’s most exclusive gastronomic
society, has extremely strict membership criteria: to be accepted into this highly
elite club, you need to be the current personal chef of a head of state. If he or

As they are aware of the role that these chefs play in international diplomatic relations, heads of state have been quick to support our Club by officially receiving every one of our meetings."

With the goal to “create a society in which every child can develop the power to make their own future, regardless of their social and economic background”, Authorized NPO Katariba, has been delivering learning experiences and opportunities for interaction to schools since 2001. Chairperson Kumi Imamura says “There are children in disaster-afflicted areas who have lost so much. There are children in poor family environment who have given up their dreams. There are children who pass the days wandering and doing nothing. We need to do something about that.” Katariba focuses in providing services for elementary school children and teenagers, engages in activities nationwide that offer learning experiences and opportunities for interaction at schools aiming for creating spaces and turns in society dedicated to teenagers. Katariba as of October 2018 runs 8 locations nationwide including “Collabo-schools” in Fukushima, Miyagi, Iwate and Kumamoto, and runs various programs and projects from 9 locations.
