Food Waste

As part of our efforts to minimize food waste, we encourage guests to prevent leftovers and implement pre-disposal draining to reduce the amount of discarded organic waste.

Selection of Eco-Friendly Products

As part of our commitment to building a sustainable society and preserving the natural environment, we have adopted PlasticSmart initiatives. In this effort, we have carefully selected and implemented environmentally friendly amenities and restaurant fixtures in our guest rooms. We strive to use items that are gentle on the planet, contributing to our goal of sustainability.

  • Switching Guest Room Beverages to Aluminum Bottles(Implemented since 2022)

  • Introduction of Pineapple Straws (Implemented since 2021)

  • Reducing Plastic Amenities(Implemented gradually since 2022)

  • Adoption of paper packaging for tea (Quencha) (Implemented since 2022)


For Our Cities

Cleaning Activities

In line with the initiative "Clean Together! Yume Chuo" in Osaka's Chuo Ward, we have been participating in monthly clean up efforts around the hotel since October 2022.

Community Activities

Osaka Excel Hotel Tokyu is actively engaged in various activities as a corporate entity contributing to the local community.

"Osaka's Produce" (Osaka-Mon)

"Osaka's Produce" (Osaka-Mon): refers to agricultural, livestock, forestry, and fishery products cultivated and produced within the Osaka prefectural area, as well as processed food products made using these local ingredients.
At the restaurant "Picnika" and the BAR & LOUNGE "MIDO," you can enjoy menus featuring ingredients sourced from Osaka, such as "Naniwa Beef" and Osaka-grown vegetables. Additionally, you can savor locally renowned sake from Osaka, which is registered as part of the "Osaka's Produce" (Osaka-Mon) lineup.
In preparation for the 2025 Osaka-Kansai Expo, BAR & LOUNGE "MIDO" and the Japanese-style rooms in "THE MIDO FLOOR" offer roasted green tea (hojicha) from "Wazuka Tea" (Kyoto), one of the ten selected regional brands by the Kinki Economic and Industrial Bureau.

Ensuring Emergency Preparedness

To ensure the safety of employees, tenants, and customers, we have created a disaster preparedness manual and regularly conduct disaster prevention training and Business Continuity Planning (BCP). This is to be well-prepared in the event of a disaster, prioritizing the protection of everyone involved.
